Aber jenseits des gaehnenden Weltraums blickten Geister, uns ueberlegen
wie wir den Tieren - ungeheure, kalte und unheimliche Geister
- mit neidischen Augen auf unsere Erde. Bedaechtig und sicher
schmiedeten sie ihre Plaene gegen uns.

“Никто не может поверить в конце 20-ого столетия, что была война между людьми. Но по ту сторону космического пространства духи, превосходящие нас, подобно нам, превосходящим животных – чудовищные, холодные и зловещие духи – смотрят ревностно на нашу землю. Осторожные и расчётливые, они строили интриги против нас.

Это аранжированная классика. Грозный ритм говорит нам о чём-то страшном, безжалостном, но потом он переходит в равномерную идиллию – мирскую жизнь. Это война, война миров. Она происходит, казалось бы, из ничего, но её последствия ужасны! U96 – это немецкая группа, а немцам, как никому другому (кроме русских), известно чувство войны. Они поясняют нам в этом треке, что причины всех войн в неких духах потустороннего мира. Возможно, они правы, но ведь немало причин и в самих нас. Да, нас часто охватывает звериное чувство мести из ничего, но подоплёкой к этому является, наша горделивость. Почему в принципе произошла Вторая Мировая? – Германия собрала большое могущество в своих руках, и Гитлер посчитал глупостью не воспользоваться этим для возвращения некоторых исторических земель, да и для превращения Германии в глобальную мировую Империю. Именно этой войне, я думаю, посвящён этот трек. Его вывод – мы бессильны против самих себя, но я так не считаю, хотя некоторое здравое зерно здесь имеется. Единственное, в чём я безоговорочно согласен в этом треке – это блестящая, могучая музыка времени девяностых. Eve of the War
